Step One: Determining a Fit

  Our Commitment

We will sit down with you at no charge so we can get to know each other and decide whether both parties want to work together. It is an opportunity for us to understand your business so that we can properly size up the project and also for you to have a look at our firm to determine whether you feel comfortable with our experience and approach.

By taking the time to better understand your needs we find our estimates are much more accurate.



Step Two: Plotting Our Course

  Our Commitment

Following this initial review, we will set out to do a complete snapshot of your project. This will be done in conjunction with you, the client. This snapshot will include action steps, responsibilities, dates, timelines that both parties agree to follow throughout the process. It will also include our guaranteed price range. We do not charge for the time that it takes to create this snapshot.

Your Benefit:

Taking the time to get a proper understanding of what you want to accomplish and for you to get a proper understanding of what we have to do means both parties are more cost and time efficient. Our guarantee allows you to level out your payments and better manage your cash flow.



Step Three: Price Certainty

  As mentioned above, the price for your project will be guaranteed.

Any additions or deviations to the project will only occur if there is no other option. We will undertake to always work with you to seek less expensive, but safe alternatives. After all, we are business people too, so we understand the importance to keep costs down. This unique approach allows us to work more closely as a team with a bigger focus on getting work done efficiently and effectively.



Step Four: Planning for Surprises

  There may be exceptions to the project that were not foreseen in the process. If these come to our attention, we will immediately inform you and ask that you do the same. We will review what this means to the project and then give you a new estimate on what we think the extent of this would be. If it is sufficiently complicated we can do a supplementary project spreadsheet for this eventuality in itself so that there would be a sub-quote that can also be guaranteed.

Our goal is to save you money. That is why we will always be pragmatic and inform you if actions are necessary or if there is a more inexpensive or alternative solution. The decision will remain with you.



Step Five: Staying in Touch

  One of the cornerstones to our success lies in communicating frequently with our clients. We do this through our unique Client Communication Program.  You do not want every telephone call to your lawyer to be a cost decision.

Unlike the traditional billing model, we do not bill for simple once off communications with a client. We only charge for communications that provide value to you. We want you to feel comfortable contacting us with information that you feel may be important. The more informed we are about direct or surrounding circumstances, the better we can add value and hopefully reduce costs for you in the long run.



Step Six: Finishing It Right

  We understand that you are working towards an important deadline and pride ourselves on finishing on time. But what you may not realize is that there are usually future steps you need to take. That is why we finish each project by ensuring that all the paperwork is complete and in the right hands, and outlining any future steps you now need to be aware of.

Just to ensure there are no outstanding matters, we include 2 complimentary reviews, 6 months after the project and 1 year after the project.
